Who can take this class?
Any California high school student.

What is the minimum age to take the DMV learners permit exam?
The DMV requires you to be 15 and ½ years old to take their exam so you should plan to finish our course by the time you turn 15 and ½ years old.

Do I still need to take driver training (behind the wheel)?
Yes, you must take the behind-the-wheel driving classes after you complete our course. After completion of our course you may enroll in a behind-the-wheel driving course of your choice and they will issue you the Certificate of Enrollment form OL392.

What other things must I do to get my learners permit?
- Drivers Education Certificate of Completion - OL 237
- Certificate of Enrollment in Driver Training OL 392 (Behind-the-Wheel)
- Original birth certificate or certified copy or valid passport
- Social security number
- Drivers License Application Form DL44 signed by both parents

Why shouldn't we wait and take Drivers Education in my school for free?
Depends upon when your birthday is, when you school has space in their classes, and how soon you want to get started with your learners permit. Some schools charge for their course too!

Are home study driver education courses legal in California?
Yes, they are approved by the DMV and upheld in the courts.

Is online drivers education really BETTER than classroom classes, the same, or worse?
The DMV did a study in 2003 to answer that question. They said, “… Few differences were found on exit exam knowledge and attitude scores, but tended to favor the internet/home study courses over the workbook and classroom courses…”

When will I get my Certificate of Completion (proof to DMV that you completed the course)?
As soon as you complete the final exam we will send you your certificate. Please allow around 5 business days for delivery.

Are you approved by the DMV to issue the Certificate of Completion?
Yes, our approval letter from the DMV can be viewed by following the link on our about page.

If I lose my Certificate of Completion what do I do?
No need to retake the exam! Just follow the link on the homepage to request a new certificate. Your Certificate of Completion is an officially numbered document that comes originally from the DMV. If it is lost we must cancel it and re-issue a new one. Since there is significant handling costs to this process we charge a $30 handling fee to re-process a replacement.

Is my credit card information secure at your site?
Yes, we use the latest technology and the Verisign processing gateway.

Can I use different computers to do this course?
Sure but make sure that you use your registered user name and password.

Will my personal information be shared with anyone else?
Absolutely not! All information will be kept confidential.

Lost your certificate?
If you have lost your certificate please make a support request describing the circumstance for your replacement certificate request. Please be aware that there is a $30 (per request) processing fee for certificate replacements.

Having trouble accessing your account?
If you are experiencing problems with your account (unable to login) please reboot your system and try again. If the problem persists and you are NOT receiving an “incorrect user or password error” please make a support request.

Lost password?
If you have lost your password please click of the “lost password” link at login.

Potential content issue like a typo?
If you think you have found an error (typo etc.) in the study or test sections please make a support request with the location and error detail.

Having trouble registering?
If you are having trouble with the registration process and you are not receiving an “error message” or “incomplete information” message please make a support request.

Issue using site after a break?
If you have left your computer, for some length of time, while in the middle of a study section or taking a test you may need to login again.

Haven't received your certificate of completion?
If you are inquiring about the status of your certificate for a completed (confirmed) certificate please check your email confirmation first. This should indicate when you should expect to receive your certificate. If you are several days past the estimate time of delivery please make a support request.

Refund request deadline?
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU HAVE 30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF REGISTRATION TO REQUEST A REFUND. YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND IF YOU HAVE QUALIFIED FOR A CERTIFICATE BY PASSING YOUR FINAL EXAM.

Do I still get $20 Amazon gift certificates, when I pass the final exam, if I registered using a promotional complimentary registration code?
No, a complimentary (free) user will NOT get the $20 Amazon certificate upon course completion (but you still got a heck of a deal!).

If I registered using a complimentary registration, can I still get a referral bonus for sending you new customers?
ANY user (even complimentary) that refers a new PAID user DOES get the $20 Amazon referral.

Can I get a referral bonus for sending you someone that uses a complimentary registration?
No, any user that refers a complimentary (free) user does NOT get a $20 Amazon referral.
